As Ava the Monster Slayer marches toward publication (presale in April—-in your hands October) marketing and promotion are taking a front row seat. It is vitally important to use these next months wisely! Starting January, we will be visiting bookstores and libraries from coast-to-coast to make human connections, which is the MOST important way to promote a book. Think about how many times someone said to you, “you’ve got to read this book!” We will be taking pictures and posting so you can see all the places and people we meet. And, after attending “marketing tactics” at the Chicago Writers Conference, we are tossing around fun ideas like: Piggy bookmarks, Ava tee-shirts, cookies in the shape of a sword.
