Pitching YA Novel in NY

My agent is going to New York next week and is bringing the first three chapters of my YA novel to shop around (publishing houses.) This novel took four months to research and ten months to write. I’m in the revision process right now and once completed, will send to my many expert Beta readers: Vietnam Veterans, Vietnamese who escaped while Saigon was falling, Director of the Asian Youth Services who welcomed many Amerasians to Chicago in the 1980’s and H.S./Middle School English teachers. This YA story is about Tin, a Black Amerasian who survives the fall of Saigon and comes to America to find his father. I’ve included a link if you’d like to read the first chapter. I’ve also included a few pictures I took while in Vietnam in 2013, which is when the idea for the story appeared! http://tinyurl.com/qcte5or
