Routine is Back!

After taking a December hiatus, I’m back writing 2-pages a day of my YA novel; Children of the Dust, about a black Amerasian who survives the fall of Saigon and comes to American to find his father. I currently have 90 pages written with about 90 more to go. I did conduct an interview with Robert Williams, who did two tours in Vietnam and was involved in the TET offensive (1968.) Robert had SO MUCH information that he freely gave—his feelings about the war and that he felt Vietnam Veterans were “sold out” by the U.S. Government. Intense stuff. After our hour-long conversation I asked if he would be willing to Beta read my story. Robert said he’s from a family of “readers” and would love too! Already have my first Beta reader! YES!
